Witchblade's Shiori Tsuzuki White Bikini figure review.

Shiori Tsuzuki is a character from the anime version of the popular Top Cow comic Witchblade, she is a Cloneblade wearer, Cloneblades are imitation Witchblades which are supposed to be as powerful but are not.

She is packaged in a windowed box with varying sized windows on all four sides and the top. Photos of the figure along with Witchblade logos are on all four sides as well as the top of the box. Typical for PVC figures Shiori is in plastic insert used to help provide some protection during handling, within the plastic insert are the Cloneblade and a mysterious black plastic wrapped item.

Ishiyama Satoshi sculpting is superb for this voluptuous figure with superb detailing of the entire body, swim suit, high heeled shoes, Cloneblade and how the bikini bottom presses into the skin. The sexy pose suits Shiori and displays her rather prominent assets nicely, though they are larger than in the anime.

Painting is excellent for most of the figure except around the right nipple area which is not fully painted, besides that you really have to look intently to find any paint spill or spray. Casting is pretty good with a few rough spots on the figure and some noticeable seams.

Shiori is already attached to a blue semi opaque base with a NSWF (National Scientific Welfare Foundation) and Witchblade logo on it. The stand provides adequate stability whether Shiori is wearing the Cloneblade or not.

Now to check out what is in the black plastic wrap.

Wow, a set of soft rubber breasts to swap out with the hard PVC ones already attached. Now this brings up the main problem with this figure, since the breast are interchangeable there are noticeable seams around where the breast area detaches from the main figure.

Personally I don’t care for this feature and has been corrected for the ‘cool black ver.’ version of this figure. That being said these rubber breast are better than average when compared to other figures that come with this feature, thankfully the rubber breast gimmick seems to have gone away.

The eyes and face are gorgeous; the hair is OK and could use some shading.

Her bikini top is relatively easy to remove, just pop of her head, and carefully separate the connecting point of the bikini top in the back, swing the string section of the bikini top around the waist and then lift up, once done, put the head back on. Now Shiori is ready for any topless beach.

Shiori’s left arm can be removed for swapping with the Cloneblade arm, to do this:

carefully pull the arm down below the blue arm armlet and it will detach
carefully push the Cloneblade up while matching the L shaped plug to the hole in the Cloneblade.

I found it difficult to attach the Cloneblade without causing some of the blue from the Cloneblade getting onto the main figure around her bikini bottom. This can be removed with the magic eraser by gently scrubbing the affected areas.
